About Heather Pierce, CDP
Owner/Senior Care Advisor
It is important that a senior advisor understands the diverse needs of seniors and is equipped with the skills to guide families through the process. Heather is passionate to bring her many years to the table for your family and help them find the perfect community and care to fit their lifestyle and needs.
20 Years Experience In Continuing Care
Heather’s personal journey of specializing in senior living started 20 years ago as she began work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Throughout the years, she has had the opportunity to work with several Senior Living companies in Connecticut, allowing her to refine her skills and progress in her career. Her 20 years of experience in the field has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the industry and a wealth of knowledge to assist families in finding the perfect match for their loved ones.
However, it became rather personal…
However, it became rather personal when it was time for her father to find the perfect senior living community. With his Parkinson’s Disease, Heather wanted to ensure he received the highest level of care and had the opportunity to thrive in a social community setting. After years of counseling families, Heather had seen firsthand how senior living could be a great fit for her father. She became an advocate, determined to ensure he received the best care possible. Heather understands the importance of empowering loved ones, helping them navigate the systems that impact their lives and access the care they need. It’s crucial for them to make well-informed decisions that align with their goals.
Helping Others
Heather is honored to serve as a board member for the APDA Connecticut Chapter and serves as Board Vice President/Treasurer. Additionally, she has the privilege of facilitating a monthly support group, providing a safe and welcoming environment where individuals affected by Parkinson’s can come together to share their experiences, seek guidance and offer support to one another.
Community Educator
Heather is a dedicated community educator who passionately focuses on raising awareness and providing educational programs in the community with the Alzheimer’s Association.
Her commitment to this cause stems from her personal experience with her grandmother, who progressed with Alzheimer’s. In addition to her role as an educator, she also services as a caregiver support group facilitator, helping those affected by the disease and offering invaluable support to families navigating similar challenges.
